Cyber Crime Awareness Programme Held at St. Antony Church, Naravi
On Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, the Commission for Social Communication, the Commission for Education, and the Commission for Youth jointly organized an awareness programme on cybercrime and the effects of social media at St. Antony Church, Naravi. The session was open to students above the 6th standard, parents, and adults.
Rev. Fr. Anil Ivan Fernandes, Director of Canara Communication and Diocesan Secretary for the Commission for Social Communication, along with Mr. Wilson Pereira Belvai, a member of the Diocesan Resource Team, served as the main resource persons. The event was graced by Rev. Dr. Alwyn Serrao, Principal; Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Jerome D’Souza; Gerosa Convent Superior Rev. Sr. Precilla Andrade; Mrs. Eugine Rodrigues, Secretary; and Mr. Sunil D’Souza, Commission Convener.
The programme was conducted in an engaging and informative manner, raising awareness about the responsible use of social media. Over 90 participants, including children and adults, attended the session. Mrs. Sumitha D’Souza served as the Master of Ceremonies.
