About Parish.....  Naravi, which was formerly known as Narol, a village situated 60 kilometres away from Mangalore at the foot of the Kuduremukh Ghats, is where the church dedicated to St. Antony of Padua is situated. Nellikar, Shirthady, Arwa, and Venoor are its neighbouring parishes.

 Naravi was a substation of St. Lawrence Church, Attur, was dedicated to St. Antony in 1870. In 1905, Fr. Faustine Cortie, a Jesuit Priest who arrived as a missionary from St. Aloysius College, Mangalore, lived here in a humble dwelling. He worked tirelessly and preached the Gospel in Naravi until he died in 1926. Fr. Antonio Ziaro, also a Jesuit, served as an assistant priest to Fr. Cortie for two years. Fr. Ghaviraghi SJ followed in their footsteps.

 In 1928, Bishop Valerian Souza declared the Naravi substation an independent Parish Church in the decree, which came into effect on 1 January  1929.  Fr. Ziaro laid the foundation stone, and  Fr. Ghaviraghi continued the construction of the church building. The church was blessed and opened on 7 May 1930. Under Fr. Ghaviraghi's leadership, Jerosa Convent was opened on 11 April. Since then, the Sisters of Charity have served in the parish in various capacities. Fr. Francis Xavier Souza became the first diocesan Parish Priest in 1934.

 The church, which began as a mission station, now has 252 families with 1,310 parishioners. It boasts educational institutions that provide education from Kindergarten to Undergraduate levels.
