78TH INDEPENDENCE DAY

On August 15th,2024, Theparish of St Antony in Naravi proudly celebrated the Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary and  78th Independence Day. The day began with a solemn Holy Mass, Ther after all the parishioners, students of St Antony Institutions, and their teachers gathered at St. Paul English Medium School for the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by a variety of entertainments..

The event was graced by the presence of the new parish priest, Rev.Fr Jerome DSouza, who was the chief guest.Other esteemed guests included Rev. Dr Alwin Serrao, Mr Sanjay Miranda, The Headmistress of the Kannda Medium School, Mrs Sophia Fernandes and Sr. Supreetha, the Headmistress of St.Paul English Medium School and The staff were present.

In his speech, Rev. Fr Jerome DSouza eloquently highlighted the significance of India's Independence and highlighted with a deep sense of patriotism.The programme concluded smoothly , with all attendees returning home feeling fulfilled and uplifted.
